3rd BZKF-Network Meeting

Dear Colleagues and Partners,


„Strengthen excellence – Share knowledge“: This is the motto of the third network meeting of the Bavarian Cancer Research Center to which I would hereby like to invite you. Our BZKF lighthouse and study groups will inform you about the progress that has been made in establishing a common network infrastructure. They will present scientific achievements and report on milestones that could be reached in the last year. Last year, we were able to support six young scientists by awarding them the BZKF Young Scientist Fellowships. In the Elevator Pitches, the fellows will present their clinical research projects in a short, concise and interesting way. We hope that the research projects will contribute to further advancing the diagnosis and therapy of cancer in Bavaria. For the first time during our network meeting, the BZKF Publication Award will be given to junior scientists who have published an outstanding paper in a scientific journal. We are hoping this will encourage the next generation of scientists to increase their efforts in the field of oncological research even further. During the panel discussion, experts from various fields will talk about cancer care in Bavaria and the benefits, challenges and future possibilities that the BZKF network offers. In the afternoon, we cordially invite you to attend the poster presentations of the BZKF lighthouses and study groups. The most successful study groups will be awarded a prize. First and foremost, we would like to thank the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts for their constant support, which enables us to continue the development of the BZKF network structures in 2023. The BZKF network meeting will offer many opportunities for exchange and personal conversations and we are looking forward to seeing you there!
